Our owner, Shane Nelson, has been an electrician for 15 years and is licensed and insured. He is very detail oriented and safety conscious. So if competence and southern courtesy are qualities you admire, then give Shane a call.

Establishing DSE Electrical Contractors and becoming a business owner versus an employee is the fulfillment of a dream. Shane's work life began with military service just like his father and grandfather. Shane is an Army veteran and strongly believes that service is patriotic. Shane worked various construction jobs but none really clicked for him until he began working closely with electricians. He started doing electrical work and the intricacies just felt right and he saw the potential of a satisfying career. He rapidly increased his knowledge, built skill, and gained experience. Shane became the number one man at his previous employer and established a loyal client base.
Shane and Tammy have been married for over 14 years and they have two sons which has meant lots of long days and hard work in support of his family. In order to further his career, Shane pursued becoming a licensed electrician. He earned his Limited Electrician's License in 2017 which opened up the possibility of owning his own business.
Shane left the safety and comfort of his previous position to strike out on his own and DSE Electrical Contractors was born.
After work
When we aren't traveling to job sites all around the Triangle, we enjoy the slower pace of a country life in Franklin County.
