Repair Services
We take reliable electricity for granted. When we flick the switch, we expect the lights to come on. In reality switches, dimmers and outlets are electromechanical devices and over a period of time will wear and eventually fail.
Thunder and electrical storms are common in the Triangle and they can cause all sorts of problems for both the utility companies and you. Lightning doesn’t have to strike your property or nearby to cause problems. Modern switches and dimmers can be vunerable to dips and spikes in power during storms just as easily as your alarm clock or Bluetooth speaker.
The electricians at Down South Electrical Contractors understand all of these conditions and we provide a broad range of repair services to solve electrical problems on your property. We regularly replace old or damaged switches, outlets, dimmers, timers and motion sensors for a variety of reasons.
The older your home or business the more likely that you will run into some sort of electrical problem.

Appliances that we don’t often think about such as bathroom fans, kitchen vents, ceiling fans, and attic fans also fail over time. This can range from a minor inconvenience to a more serious costly issue down the road if left un-repaired.
Our electricians also repair circuits that are improperly sized for their intended use. Microwaves, Portable Air Conditioners, Heaters, and some computers can consume a significant amount of power and need to be on their own dedicated circuits. This can be an issue in older homes built to older electrical code standards and where electrical systems are undersized for todays world.
